About Market Pulse Intelligence

Real-time market intelligence at the speed of markets.

What We Do

Market Pulse Intelligence is a real-time financial market intelligence platform that monitors over 100 distinct data points across global equities, cryptocurrency, commodities, credit markets, macroeconomic indicators, and geopolitical risk. We aggregate, normalize, and synthesize raw market data from over twenty independent sources into a single live dashboard, then layer proprietary composite signals and AI-written briefs on top of the underlying feeds. The platform is designed for active traders, portfolio managers, macro analysts, financial journalists, and anyone who needs a single screen showing what is actually moving markets right now.

Why We Built This

Existing market dashboards fall into two categories. The first are paid Bloomberg or Refinitiv terminals that cost thousands of dollars per user per month and lock data behind enterprise contracts. The second are free retail tools that cherry-pick a handful of widely-watched indicators (the VIX, S&P 500, gold, oil) and ignore the credit, prediction-market, and geopolitical data that often moves prices first. Market Pulse fills the gap: it is free, public, and as comprehensive as a professional terminal in the asset classes that retail platforms typically ignore — credit spreads, BDC NAV discounts, prediction market odds, geopolitical headlines, derivatives positioning, and ETF flows.

What Makes It Different

Three things distinguish Market Pulse from other market dashboards:

  • Cross-asset synthesis. Most dashboards show data in silos — equities here, crypto there, macro elsewhere. Market Pulse calculates composite signals (the Pulse Shock Index, Risk-On/Off Score, Cross-Asset Panic Score, and others) that combine signals from multiple asset classes simultaneously, surfacing patterns that single-class dashboards cannot.
  • Real-time written analysis. Three times daily, AI-generated briefs synthesize the entire dashboard into a paragraph-length narrative. The briefs are written by Claude with full programmatic access to the data — they are not generic news summaries, they reference the specific signals on the dashboard at the moment of publication.
  • Free, instant, no signup. The site is open to everyone. There is no paywall, no signup, no ads-locked content. The platform is supported by ads on a small number of pages and by reader donations.

Our Proprietary Signals

We build proprietary composite signals that don't exist elsewhere by cross-referencing multiple data sources:

  • Market Pulse Score — XGBoost + momentum ensemble ML model, retrained daily
  • Crypto Pulse Signals — Fear & Greed, funding rates, open interest, long/short ratios, ETF flows, and taker volume from OKX derivatives data
  • Credit Pulse Signals — Fallen Angel Pressure (BBB/AAA ratio), Distress Widening (CCC/BB ratio), NFCI Credit Subindex, bank lending growth, and delinquency tracking
  • Macro Pulse Signals — Yield curve, inflation pulse, recession risk, rate expectations, dollar strength, and labor market indicators
  • Geopolitical & Volatility Pulse — Cross-asset panic, safe haven flow, volatility regime, conflict intensity, war premium, and contagion risk
  • Commodity Pulse Signals — Energy stress, precious metals flow, industrial demand (Dr. Copper), agriculture pressure, dollar headwinds, and supply disruption risk
  • Pulse Predictions — Cross-referencing Polymarket and Kalshi prediction markets into a unified risk signal

Data Sources

Market Pulse Intelligence aggregates data from the following sources:

  • Yahoo Finance — equities, ETFs, commodities, currencies, global markets
  • FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) — 40+ macroeconomic and credit series
  • CoinGecko — cryptocurrency prices, market cap, dominance
  • OKX — crypto derivatives (funding rates, open interest, long/short ratios)
  • Polymarket & Kalshi — prediction market probabilities
  • Google News RSS, CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph, Decrypt — news feeds
  • alternative.me — Crypto Fear & Greed Index
  • DefiLlama — stablecoin supply data

AI-Powered Analysis

Our AI summaries are generated by Claude (Anthropic) to synthesize breaking news, signal divergences, and market themes into concise, actionable intelligence. AI-generated content is clearly labeled throughout the platform.

Pulse Briefs

Three times daily (6:30 AM, 12:00 PM, and 5:00 PM ET), we publish "What You Need to Know" briefs that synthesize all Pulse Wire summaries, macro calendar events, and market signals into a single executive summary. Every brief is permanently archived and individually addressable. The morning brief covers overnight moves and the day's major data releases. The midday brief reviews the morning's price action and flags afternoon catalysts. The evening brief recaps the day's session, summarizes after-hours news, and previews the next session's known events. Each brief takes 30-60 seconds to read and replaces an hour of scanning headlines.

Update Frequency

Different data feeds update at different cadences. Live equity quotes refresh every 60 seconds during market hours. Crypto prices and derivative positioning refresh every 60 seconds, 24/7. FRED macro indicators refresh once daily after each agency releases new data — typically the morning of the release at 8:30 AM ET. News headlines refresh every 5 minutes. Prediction market odds refresh every 5 minutes. The ML prediction model retrains and republishes daily at 6:00 AM ET on weekdays. Each panel on the dashboard displays a timestamp showing when its data was last updated.

Editorial Independence

Market Pulse Intelligence is independently operated and not affiliated with any broker, exchange, asset manager, or trading platform. We do not accept payment to feature specific tickers, signals, or narratives. We do not run sponsored content. The only revenue source is contextual display advertising served by Google, which is clearly distinguished from editorial content and does not influence which data we display or how we describe it. Our AI-written briefs are produced by Claude (Anthropic) with neutral, descriptive prompts; they do not include trading recommendations or directional advice.

Limitations and Disclaimers

Market Pulse Intelligence is an information service, not investment advice. Nothing on the site should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security. The signals, briefs, and predictions shown are generated by software algorithms and large language models, both of which can be wrong. Historical accuracy is shown publicly on the dashboard; we recommend reviewing the methodology page for a full account of how each signal is constructed and what its known limitations are. Read the full disclaimer before making any trading decisions based on content from this site.

Who Built This

Market Pulse Intelligence is a solo project. It was built by an active trader and software engineer to fill a gap: there was no free, comprehensive, real-time dashboard that combined cross-asset data with AI-written synthesis. The codebase, data pipelines, and AI prompts are continuously improved based on user feedback. If you have a feature request, find an error, or want to suggest a new data source, the contact page has direct ways to reach us.

Open Source & Reproducibility

The methodology page documents every signal calculation in enough detail that a determined reader could reproduce them from the raw data. Data sources are listed by name, refresh interval, and access method. We believe this transparency is essential for an information service to earn trust — readers should be able to verify how the numbers we publish are calculated.
